9 Million Colors was developed at the prestigious international workshop Animation Sans Frontiéres. It was presented at Animarkt Pitching Forum, where it was awarded with funding from the Polish studio CeTa. It was presented at the CEE Animation Forum, Cartoon Springboard and Cartoon Forum and Czech Joy.

The development and production of the project was supported by the Czech Film Fund and PPF Foundation.
